Zur Info!
Dear winelovers, dear friends,
We are very happy to announce that our family will take care of 0.7ha in the famous Schubertslay Grand Cru (Grosse Lage) vineyard in Piesport/Mosel.
As my mother comes from the Mosel and we spent a lot of time there in our childhood, the region always felt like our second home (together with Burgundy). So when we were offered this 120-year-old, ungrafted, 80%steep Riesling parcel, it was a decision of the heart to say immediately: Yes- we will!
Yields are tiny in this parcel- only 7-13 hl/ha on average in the last years. It will mean a lot of hard work. Hence we are extremely grateful that our oldest son Felix and our good friends Julian and Nadine Haart will support us!
This all sounds a bit like an announcement of marriage- and I can tell you it really feels like it as well.We are thrilled and cannot wait to have the first Schubertslay baby fermenting in our cellar in Dalsheim.
Merry Christmas to all of you,
Julia and Kp
Grüße aus Berlin,
Martin Zwick
