The 2009 Lamarein is one of the most unusual and compelling reds being made in Alto Adige today. The 2009 Composition Reif is Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Lagrein, a combination of French and indigenous varieties that works very well. Sweet black cherries, plums, grilled herbs, smoke and tar all come together beautifully in this sumptuous, polished red. This is a decidedly opulent, internationally-styled wine, but it works. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017.
Als international empfinde ich den REIF mit seiner ungewöhnlichen Cuvee nun gerade nicht, ich kann diesen Wein aus 100 anderen immer herausfinden. Trotzdem freut's mich für Josephus und seine Familie.
