Parker (respektive Galloni) ist bezüglich der Preisentwicklung im Burgund vergleichsweise sehr pessimistisch; Zitat aus dem aktuellen WA:
What is quite obvious is that the supply of the best wines from Burgundy is far too small to satisfy the thirst of the world’s consumers. When – and it is when, not if – consumers in emerging markets, Asia in particular, discover Burgundy in a big way, today’s prices will look downright cheap.
Wie schon an anderer Stelle geschrieben, teile ich diese Auffassung. Anders als in Bordeaux, wo auch in guten AOCs immer noch einiges Potential brachliegt und mit entsprechendem Kapitaleinsatz mobilisiert werden kann, ist die Produktion an
premier und
grand crus im Burgund nicht wesentlich auszuweiten. Burgundliebhaber müssen damit rechnen, dass sich ihre Lieblingsweine preislich in absehbarer Zeit in luftige Höhen begeben.
